This document serves as the authoritative blueprint and feature guide for the Singular Dream communications ecosystem. It bridges current implementation with future capabilities, ensuring a seamless flow of information between Board, Security, and Residents.

1. Feature Guide: Mundane & Essential Foundations

These features form the bedrock of community operations, focusing on reliability and professional branding.

Internal & Platform Notifications

  • Contextual Alerts: Real-time push notifications (Firebase) and in-app banners for workflow transitions (e.g., "New Maintenance Request," "Assembly Vote Starting").
  • Audit Logging: Every notification is traceable in the system logs to ensure delivery to the correct persona.

Transactional Email & PDF Dispatch

  • Automated Invoicing: Generation and delivery of maintenance fee PDFs directly to resident emails (via Resend).
  • Assembly Notices: Mass-delivery of legally required assembly convocations and proxy forms as PDF attachments.

Receipts & Confirmations

  • Instant Confirmation: Instant email confirmation for payments, document uploads, and access requests.

Community Newsletters

  • Rich Media Updates: HTML-formatted newsletters featuring property images, board announcements, and local news.
  • WhatsApp Mirroring: Newsletters can be cross-posted as summarized WhatsApp messages with "Read More" links to the portal.

The true value of this infrastructure isn't just "sending messages"—it is the complete automation of community sovereignty.

For too long, HOA governance in Mexico has been slowed by the "Dark Ages" of communication: expensive translators, manual voting, and the requirement for physical legal staff to oversee every detail. We are breaking this pattern.

The End-to-End Pipeline

  1. Accessible Participation: Residents join via the Web App (streaming subtitles) or dial-in (Voice/IVR). Participation rates skyrocket because the barriers are gone.

  • Shift-Based Handover: When a shift ends and a new staff member logs in, the Twilio forwarding updates automatically to the new device.
  • Identity Masking: When staff call residents back via the app, the resident sees the "Singular Dream Office" number, protecting staff privacy.

Virtual Answering Machine & Transcription

  • 24/7 Availability: If no staff is on-duty or available, callers are greeted by a professional bilingual recording.
  • Gemini AI Summarization: Voicemails are automatically transcribed and summarized by Gemini.
  • Triage Automation: High-priority keywords within a voicemail (e.g., "leak," "break-in") trigger an immediate Emergency Push notification to the Board.

While digital signatures are common, Mexico's legal and notary systems often require physical "Ink Signatures" and faxed copies for certain ballots and official records. * The Hub: Residents upload high-resolution scans/photos of signed documents to the Firestore database. * Automated Fax Dispatch: The system automatically faxes these signed PDFs directly to Notary offices or government archives (via a specialized IFaxProvider like Phaxio). * Verification Trail: A digital receipt and "Fax Sent" confirmation are automatically appended to the document record.

Real-Time AI Meeting Translation & Hybrid Governance

Breaking the language barrier in community governance through the fusion of enterprise video and local intelligence.

  • Google Meet Integration: Board members can conduct official meetings via Google Meet while the platform's "Librarian" AI listens as a silent attendee.
  • Web App Subtitle Overlay: Residents signing into the Singular Dream Web App to view the meeting will see a real-time subtitle stream.
  • Seamless Translation: The system automatically detects the speaker's language and displays the translation (English <-> Spanish) as live subtitles for all attendees.
  • Accessible Transparency: Ensures that even if a Board member speaks only English, a Spanish-speaking resident can follow the deliberation in real-time within the platform they trust.

High-Fidelity Security: Push-to-Talk (PTT)

"Push-to-Talk" transforms the mobile platform into a high-end, encrypted Walkie-Talkie system. Unlike a standard phone call, PTT allows for instantaneous, one-to-many communication at the touch of a button. * Instant Audio Bridges: Security guards and maintenance staff move through the property with a live audio channel always available. Holding the "Talk" button immediately broadcasts their voice to everyone else on that channel. * Zero-Dial Coordination: No need to search for contacts or wait for a ringtone; it is the fastest way to coordinate during an active incident or complex maintenance task.

IoT: The "Nervous System" of the Property

Integrating physical sensors into the digital communication loop for autonomous response. * Inbound Signaling: Water level sensors, fire alarms, and gate vibration sensors send "Inbound Signals" to our API. * Multilingual Voice Broadcasts: * The Feature: Beyond simple texts, the system can initiate a Direct Voice Broadcast onto a staff member's phone. * Intelligent Logic: If a sensor detects a gas leak, the system generates a clear, audible alert that is fully translated and articulated in both English and Spanish. * Example: A maintenance worker receives a loud, clear voice command: "Emergency: Water main burst in Sector 4. Please investigate immediately. / Emergencia: Rotura de tubería principal de agua en el Sector 4. Por favor, investigue de inmediato." * Hands-Free Safety: This ensures staff are alerted even if they cannot check their screens, providing life-saving seconds in an emergency.

5. Technical Foundations (The Built Infrastructure)

The roadmap above is achievable today because the following high-performance foundations are already in place:

Multi-Channel "Communications Cabinet"

We have implemented a Registry Pattern via @sd/foundation-communications. This allows any part of the platform to trigger messaging without manual configuration. - twilio: Unified driver for SMS, MMS (Multimedia), Programmable Voice, and WhatsApp. - email: High-performance delivery via Resend. - push: Global notification delivery via Firebase Admin SDK. - ptt / rtc: Secure, real-time audio channels via LiveKit.

Secret Management & Security

  • Doppler Integration: All API keys for Twilio, Resend, and Firebase are managed in the singular-dream Doppler project, ensuring zero-secret exposure in the codebase.
  • Identity-First Auth: The PTT and Messaging systems are wired to the Identity Hub, ensuring only authorized staff can trigger broadcasts or access secure channels.

Advanced Tooling

  • Twilio CLI (sd-condo profile): The infrastructure is now linked to the Twilio CLI on the development workbench. This allows us to programmatically configure phone numbers, inspect real-time logs, and deploy TwiML bins with zero manual console work.
  • Verification Suite: Local verification scripts (verify-twilio.ts, verify-push.ts) ensure the entire pipe is 100% healthy before deployment.

6. Efficiency & Ownership: Built, Not Subscribed

Crucially, this entire ecosystem is designed to be built directly into the Singular Dream platform using base infrastructure, avoiding the "SaaS Trap" of expensive, per-user monthly subscriptions.

The "Commodity API" Strategy

Instead of paying for a specialized "Property Management Communication App" (which often costs thousands per year in licensing), we use Raw Infrastructure Providers: * Twilio / Resend / Firebase: These are commodity utilities. We pay only for what we use (pennies per message/minute), with zero monthly subscription fees for the features themselves. * LiveKit (Open Source/Self-Hosted): Our real-time audio/video bridge is built on open-source standards, meaning we aren't tied to expensive "Per Participant" Zoom or Teams licensing.

Intelligent Ownership (Gemini AI)

By building the "Brain" of the communication system (the translation, triage, and routing) using Gemini 2.0, we eliminate the need for: * Expensive translation services. * Third-party answering machine software. * Security dispatch center software.

The Result: Singular Dream owns the intellectual property and the logic. The ongoing costs are limited to raw utility usage, while the value provided to the community scales without increasing licensing fees.

Technical Implementation Notes

  • Registry: All these features utilize the CommunicationsCabinet singleton.
  • Security: All PTT and Voice channels are secured via JWT tokens and required authentication.
  • Traceability: Every call, text, and email is logged in the communication_logs Firestore collection for audit purposes.
